La galleria Muratcentoventidue Artecontemporanea prosegue il programma espositivo con la prima mostra personale in Italia di Johanna Reich , giovane video artista tedesca di grande talento che ha intrapreso un originale percorso nella video arte lavorando nel campo della performance e della sperimentazione.
L’artista ha partecipato a numerose esposizioni e festival nazionali e internazionali di video arte ricevendo tra l’altro importanti premi come il Naim June Paik Award (2005), The Excellence Prize (Japan Media Art Festival, Tokio), The Media Art Award NRW (2009).
I suoi video con cui coinvolge il pubblico provocandone il senso visivo con risultati inaspettati, sono molto più vicini alla performance che alla video arte.
In tempi di onnipresenza dell’immagine in movimento , caratterizzati dalla fugacità , l’artista ha deciso di usare la video camera come mezzo principale per esplorare la relazione tra l’uomo e il mondo virtuale ed indagare i limiti della tecnologia digitale.
Nel video “Line” una persona vestita di nero dipinge una linea nera su di un muro. A causa delle condizioni di luce la video camera non può distinguere la differenza fra il nero della persona e la parete nera che è sullo sfondo.
La persona sembra alla fine scomparire davanti alla video camera . In tempi in cui siamo osservati ogni istante dalle telecamere ,“Line” sembra suggerire con ironia una strategia di fuga e far riflettere sull’enorme quantità di immagini che percepiamo ogni giorno.

Muratcentoventidue-Artecontemporanea è un’Associazione Culturale nata nel 2007 per iniziativa di Emanuele Gonnella e Angela Gonnella per promuovere la ricerca artistica e diffondere la conoscenza dell’arte contemporanea, in particolare per offrire più spazio ai giovani e alla sperimentazione, con l’obiettivo di favorire la crescita di una realtà artistica giovane attraverso esposizioni mirate a sperimentare le potenzialità di nuovi percorsi artistici nei diversi linguaggi dell’arte, promuovendo esperienze che utilizzano nuove tecniche e nuovi materiali, come video, fotografia digitale, videoinstallazioni, assemblaggi, apparecchi elettronici.

Muratcentoventidue-Artecontemporanea è un’Associazione Culturale nata nel 2007 per iniziativa di Emanuele Gonnella e Angela Gonnella per promuovere la ricerca artistica e diffondere la conoscenza dell’arte contemporanea, in particolare per offrire più spazio ai giovani e alla sperimentazione, con l’obiettivo di favorire la crescita di una realtà artistica giovane attraverso esposizioni mirate a sperimentare le potenzialità di nuovi percorsi artistici nei diversi linguaggi dell’arte, promuovendo esperienze che utilizzano nuove tecniche e nuovi materiali, come video, fotografia digitale, videoinstallazioni, assemblaggi, apparecchi elettronici.
