Segnala l'evento
Helena Gough (Uk)
hamaYôko (Jp)
Kassel Jaeger (Fr)
Renato Rinaldi (It)
Verranno presentati i nuovi cd di hamaYôko e Renato Rinaldi.
Helena Gough (UK) is a sound artist based in Berlin. Her work initially focused upon the collection and manipulation of 'real-world' sound material and the exploration of its abstract properties. Occasional deviations into synthetic and instrumental sources are now developing into more prominent ingredients. Initially trained in violin and composition at the Royal Academy of Music, Junior Academy, Helena went on to complete a BMus at Birmingham University. As a solo (laptop) player she is now presenting her music live on a regular basis, and is also a member of numerous improvising electro-acoustic ensembles involving musicians such as Lee Patterson, Andrea Neumann and Rhodri Davies.
Yôko Higashi (1974, Yokohama, Japan) is a performer, vocalist, butoh dancer and choreographer. She has collaborated with Lionel Marchetti, Nicolas Ticot and Frédérick Galiay, and has performed with Keith Rowe, Thomas Korber, Seiji Murayama and Chewbacca (Andrew Daymond and Damien Grange). In 2003 she formed Yokohama Zen Rocks, an electric pop-rock trio, and more recently the duo Octobriana with violinist Agathe Max. hamaYôko is Higashi’s musique concrète-influenced electro-pop project.
Renato Rinaldi (Italia) studied drama, composition and electronic music. After a number of years working as an actor he began composing music for theatre, radio dramas and video installations. He has produced several radio plays, documentaries and reportages for the Italian national broadcasting radio (RAI). In music, his work focuses primarily on the relationship between sound and environment. Composer Giuseppe Ielasi and photographer Armin Linke are his frequent collaborators.
Kassel Jaeger (France) lives and works in Paris. He’s a member of the GRM (Groupe de Recherches Musicales). « Kassel Jaeger is an elusive shadow, a password, a catalytic entity, not a real name anyway (…) this rather enigmatic self-effacement serves the purpose of an equally impenetrable aural art… » (Daniel Crokaert)
