Gerard Kuijpers (°1961) designs and realizes for more than 20 years unique furniture, lighting, staircases, shop interiors and objects. His style is firm and functional but with poetic accents when he works on rough pieces of marble or Belgian blue stone.
The basic material is definitely steel but for the most part of his work there is nevertheless a tension between steel and different materials such as: glass, solid wood, MDF, stone and stainless steel. Through the years he has gained the required experience to make a design which is aesthetical and practical in function of a specific space and the particular needs of the client.
