Sabato 23 Settembre 2006 alle ore 18.00 verrà inaugurata a Bologna nella sede della Galleria Bongiovanni , Gall. Acquaderni 3c/3d , Via Rizzoli 36 , la personale di Lloyd Kelly, artista americano affermato, apprezzato, con presenze museali negli Usa, Russia e Giappone, già attivo dagli anni ’70.

E’ la prima personale di Kelly in Italia dove è rappresentato dalla Galleria Bongiovanni.


Sarà presente l’ artista.La mostra sarà aperta tutti i giorni feriali dal 23 Settembre al 10 ottobre 2006 con orario di apertura:10.00-13.00/16.30-19.30.

La mostra dal titolo ”New Releases” è relativa alle opere più recenti di Lloyd Kelly, proponendo temi della Figurazione americana.

Per la personale di Bologna sono state selezionate 25 opere inedite.





Lloyd Kelly, Lloyd Kelly è nato in America, a New Orleans, nel 1946.Du grande fama, Kelly è tanto pittore quanto scultore e disegnatore nonchè gran colorista. Ha quattro lauree:Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge, in 1970; a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Drawing, from the University of Nebraska, Omaha, in 1973; a Master of Fine Arts degree in Printmaking from the Instituto Allende, University of Guanajuato, San Miguel de Allende, Gto., Mexico, in 1975, and a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing in 2003 from Spalding University. Ha esposto tanto in istituzioni pubbliche, che in gallerie private e in musei, in tutto il mondo. E' membro del NATIONAL ARTS CLUB di NEW YORK e WASHIGTON DC.
