For the past three years, the old kiosk at the corner of Via San Gottardo and Via Sarah Morley (Chiosco Morley) in Muralto-Locarno (CH) has been abandoned. Now an artistic intervention will call it into life again. The installation “Annunciazione” will be realised by Ronny Hardliz (CH/CZ) and Jürg Schluep (CH), and consists of five steps that are analogous to the biblical scene of the annunciation. In terms of composition, the artists refer to the tradition of the imagery, and the various phases of the biblical story can be recognized in the actual execution. This is done in a symbolic rather than strictly literal way. In the end, it is about the kiosk as a specific place and time in the city, and the project is supposed to be a temporary and local intervention in the overall urban structure.
