The centre of the exposition is in facts the work of Jeanne Hébuterne, his last partner. Other works are by André Hébuterne , Dorignac, Herbin, Kisling, Orloff: friends of the painter and followers, who shared his experience in Montmartre and Montparnasse, in Paris, about 1910. The main figure in the group was Modì: many works of him are on display, together with his partner’s Jeanne Hébuterne drawings.
The rest of the exposition is a union of very different artists and styles, representing the different tendencies and artistic muvements host in Paris at the beginning of the century.
The only artist emerging from the others is Dorignac, with his beautiful monocromes.
The exposition is agreable to see, and has the merit of putting on display artists often forgotten.
Giorgio Cini Foundation, San Giorgio Isle, Venezia.
