Alex Bellan e Antonio Guiotto alla Galleria Perugi a Padova

La Galleria Perugi presenta le personali di due giovani artisti, Alex Bellan e Antonio Guiotto.
Il primo, con i suoi “ready made truccati”, crea con abilità tecnica oggetti paradossali, all’apparenza neutri. In realtà, non appena ne cogliamo il carattere anomalo, l’opacità oggettuale si fa trasparente e veicola un pensiero soggettivo molto profondo. I due lavori che compongono il progetto Import/Export nascondono in sé una tensione drammaticamente sarcastica rivolta al sociale. Una tensione che, dal momento del loro concepimento, ha oggi tragicamente incrementato il suo bruciante valore d’attualità.

The Contemporary Art Cover Show di Guiotto mette in scena i dilemmi creativi che affliggono il giovane artista. Egli rischia costantemente di venire schiacciato non solo dal passato artistico terribilmente grande, ma anche dalla traboccante creatività amatoriale. Allegramente, senza rendersene conto, milioni di dilettanti contendono le idee creative agli artisti. Come potranno questi difendere la propria presunta eccellenza?

Perugi artecontemporanea is proud to present simultaneous solo shows by two young artists, Alex Bellan and Antonio Guiotto.
Alex Bellan skilfully creates ‘turbo-charged ready mades’, objects that are neutral in appearance but paradoxical in nature. As soon as we perceive the anomaly of these objects, the intrinsic opaqueness of the object dissolves, allowing us to see the profound thinking behind it. The two separate works in the Import/Export project share a sarcastic and critical view point of society, whose topicality has- unfortunately- dramatically increased since they were first made.

Guiotto’s The Contemporary Art Cover Show investigates the creative dilemmas facing the young artist. Not only does he feel overwhelmed by the tremendous weight of artistic heritage, but also by the bubbling creativity of amateurs. Millions of non-professionals are constantly, inadvertently and light-heartedly competing for creative ideas with the artist. How can the latter defend their supposed superiority?
