DHG ART FACTORY PRIZE
Sono state prorogate fino al 29 febbraio 2012 le iscrizioni al concorso internazionale “DHG Art Factory, Prize for contemporary art”, finalizzato alla promozione dell’arte contemporanea ed alla valorizzazione del legame tra arte, industria e territorio, nel nome della ricerca e della creatività.
Visto il gran numero di richieste pervenute negli ultimi giorni, Main Street Srl ha deciso di posticipare la data di chiusura del bando, per permettere a tutti gli artisti interessati di presentare i loro progetti.
L’iscrizione, completamente gratuita, si effettua on-line, attraverso la compilazione dell’apposito modulo e l’upload del progetto in concorso, contestualmente ad un piccolo portfolio.
In palio, un contratto di lavoro del valore di 4.000,00 Euro e la possibilità di realizzare una propria opera sulla facciata di un grande edificio non lontano dal centro di Prato, che verrà adibito a magazzino, showroom e luogo di rappresentanza, diventando elemento portante nella comunicazione aziendale. Ad ogni iscritto sarà inoltre garantita buona visibilità sul sito per l’intera durata del concorso.
Fino alla data di chiusura del bando, appassionati d’arte e operatori di settore potranno esprimere le loro preferenze attraverso il voto on-line, che determinerà automaticamente il nome di uno dei 20 finalisti, preselezionati dall’Azienda e sottoposti al parere della Giuria, che decreterà il vincitore. La Giuria, presieduta da Gaia Gualtieri (Amministratore Delegato Main Street Srl), è composta da Francesco Funghi (Direttore Galleria d’arte contemporanea Vault), Lorenzo Giusti (Curatore EX3 Centro per l’arte contemporanea Firenze), Livia Savorelli (Direttore Editoriale Espoarte Contemporary Art Magazine) e Massimiliano Tonelli (Direttore Artribune), nomi di assoluto rilievo nel panorama contemporaneo, chiamati a rappresentare le diverse professionalità dell’arte, anche in relazione al contesto culturale della città di Prato.
“DHG Art Factory, Prize for contemporary art” costituisce solo la prima di una serie di iniziative che vedranno il marchio DHG – dyeinghousegallery abbinato al mondo dell’arte e della cultura, alla ricerca di nuove idee e possibili commistioni tra industria e creatività.

You still have time for DHG Art Factory Prize! Application extended to the 29th February 2012
Time for registration to DHG Art Factory, Prize for contemporary art” has been extended to the 29th February 2012. The international public competition is intended to promote contemporary art and strengthen the link between art, industry and territory, in the name of research and creativity.
Since such a large number of requests of application arrived during the last days, Main Street Srl decided to postpone the deadline for registration to the public competition so that all the artists who wish to participate will be able to present their projects.
The application is completely free of charge and it is possible to submit online, by filling the provided form and uploading the project together with a short portfolio until the 15th January 2012.
The winner will be offered a job contract worth 4.000 Euro and he/she will have the possibility to paint his/her work on the façade of a building located near the centre of Prato. The Company will use it as a warehouse, showroom and board seat, becoming an important means of communication. In order to provide the highest visibility to every participant during the competition, a webpage will be dedicated to each artist and his/her research will be published on the webpage.
Up to the expiry date of the public contest, art enthusiasts and professionals will be able to give their preference in order to determine the name of one of the finalists, previously selected by the Company, and examined by the Jury that will determine the winner.
Gaia Gualtieri (Managing Director of Main Street Srl) will preside the Jury composed by: Francesco Funghi (Director of the Vault Contemporary Art Gallery), Lorenzo Giusti (Curator of EX3 Centro per l’arte contemporanea Firenze), Livia Savorelli (Editorial Manager of Espoarte Contemporary Art Magazine) and Massimiliano Tonelli (Director of Artribune), all of them holding a prominent position in the contemporary panorama- They will represent the different art experts, also relating to the cultural context of the city of Prato.
“DHG Art Factory, Prize for contemporary art” is just the first of a series of initiatives that will link the DHG – dyeinghousegallery brand to the art and culture world, looking for new ideas and possible links between industry and creativity.
